Dubai, Aug 14, 2023: SCENT (Sandhya Creations Event Network Team) in association with Fortune Karama Hotel (A Praveen Shetty Enterprise) will jointly present the second ‘Aatidonji Dina 2023’ cultural food festival programme in Fortune Karama Hotel, Karama, Dubai on August 20 which will be an event for Tuluvas of Tulunadu in UAE to create a festive mood after a long time and make it an historic event to enjoy with eight hours of event just foot tapping, eating, competitions, quiz’s, games, prizes, medical freebies and dancing throughout.

 

Last year, the event witnessed by a record number of more than 2500 Tuluvas enjoying every bit of the celebration.

The programme as scheduled will start at sharp at 10 am with the traditional drums inviting and welcoming the guests of honour, the true representatives of the four faiths of India; Hindu, Muslim, Christian and Jains; showcasing communal harmony on one platform on the soil of UAE a country who have leaders who have proven record of religious tolerance in this part of the world.

Aati Cultural Activities

There will be food stalls from various Communities of Tulunadu in UAE viz., Billawas, Brahamanas, Mangaluru Konkans, Ganigas, Sahebans, Bearys, Basava Samithis, Mogaveers, Amchi Friends, Vishwakarma, Jains, Marghadeepa, Women’s Kudla and the list goes on. These food stalls will have competitions among themselves and there will be 3 winners chosen by one of the famous chefs of Mangaluru who will announce the winners and who will get cash prizes, mementos and certificates. The specialty of the food is ‘Aati’ based pure vegetarian delicacies both ethnic food and sweets homely prepared by the above groups which will be served with a minimum price to all the audiences. Toddy will be an added beverage available for this festive specially to raise the spirits. Moreover, the organizers will serve free ‘Ganji Oota, Methe Ganji, variety of chutneys and pickles’ unlimited throughout the day.

‘Aati Kalanja’ fancy dress competition will be held and the winners will be felicitated with prizes and certificates.

‘Aati Kalanja’ photo booth will be erected for those people who want to have a photographs taken on the spot during the celebration.

There will be various cultural activities throughout the day viz., folk dances, bharatanatyam, filmy dances, singing, skit and very many activities all in Tulu language. Tiger dance will be the main attraction specially by female participants. The entire celebration will depict the traditional Tulunadu’s Aati spirit in this part of the world and will be a unique programme never attempted so far.

‘Gauji Gammath’ Tulu super hit comedy film will have a launching of the tickets of their premiere world screening during the programme. August, 27 is the premiere release in UAE and the tickets of the premiere shows will be released during the occasion. This movie will be released in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Sharjah on August 27 throughout by Sandhya Creations Overseas Movies.

‘Kudru’ Tulu film will have an ‘Song Release Function’ on this day and actors Harshit Shetty, Priya Hegde, Daina D’Souza, and producer-director Bhasker Naik will be arriving on the occasion and presenting the very famous song which will be with dance sequence treat to the audience. The film is scheduled to release on September 24 across UAE by Sandhya Creations Overseas Movies.
