Doha, Mar 13, 2023: The Indian Cultural Center invited all Indian women to ICC Ashoka Hall on March 8 to celebrate “International Women’s Day”, as part of their annual calendar event to showcase women’s accomplishments.

Chief guest of the evening was Meenal Bakshi, principal of DPS Monarch International School. Other dignitaries were newly elected presidents of the apex bodies, ICC president AP Manikantan, ICBF president Shanavas Bhava, and ISC president EP Abdurahiman along with the current management committee of ICC.

Krishna Kumar Bandhakavi general secretary ICC welcomed the gathering and introduced newly elected apex body presidents. Excellent steering of show as MC was done by Ramya Vivek.

ICC vice president Subramanaya Hebbagelu, in his speech, shared details of newly elected members and thanked current committee for their services for last two years to Indian Community. ICC cultural secretary Shweta Koshti recalled the two years of journey while proposing a vote of thanks.

ICC presented a memento to Meenal Bakshi, principal of DPS Monarch International School. She spoke about women empowerment. The keynote speaker of the event, Dr Pramitha Ponnappan, gynecologist at Al Abeer Medical Center spoke on breast cancer and cervical cancer awareness.

Sumaa Mahesh Gowda the newly elected MC member of ICC coordinated cultural performances that were showcased by team Kalakairali, Qatar Tamil Uruvugal, Kerala Woman’s Initiative Qatar, a yoga and dance performance by team Fit India. A beautiful song was rendered by Samanvi Sumanth of 10 years and the show stopper moment of the evening was by woman of Saree  showcasing various woven items of India.
