S.S. Pattana Shetty, the Deputy Commissioner of Udupi district who took charge just  last month, has been transferred.  Dr. R. Vishal, presently the Commissioner  of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department  will replace Shetty as the Udupi DC.
