Udupi unit of Welfare Party of India launched

Udupi, March 26, 2013 : The Udupi unit of the Welfare Party of India was launched by National Vice President of the part and former minister BT Lalitha Naik at a function held here on March 24, Sunday.

 

In her address, Lalitha Naik said the party was formed with the objective of bringing to the mainstream the marginalized sections of the  society and believed in the ideology of the great socialist leader Jayaprakash Narayan.

Regretting the fact that most of the political parties have let ideologies to wind, she said the Welfare Party of India would try to prove itself as an alternative party based on the principles  of equality, justice and universal brotherhood.

The function was presided over by State President of the Party Akbar Ali. Several office bearers including Anwar Ali, Udupi district unit chief,  Ayub Sahab, President of the Shimoga unit. Srikant Salian, Vice President of the DK district unit, Ravindra Brahmashwar, Vice President and others were present.
