Mangaluru, April 29, 2024: The Centre has released a drought relief of Rs 3454 crores to the state government only after it was pulled up by the Supreme Court. Therefore, the Supreme Court must be thanked for the release of drought relief fund, said District Congress President Harish Kumar.
Speaking to reporters at the District Congress Office, Harish Kumar while referring to the statement of Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and State BJP leader Ashok that drought relief fund was released earlier, has demanded that they produce documents to prove the same.
He also criticized the statements made by PM Modi during his election rallies of the state. The Prime Minister who says he will eradicate corruption, has included many who face corruption charges in his own party, Harish Kumar said.
He said the party candidate from DK constituency will win by a margin of around one lakh votes.
Party leaders Pratibha Kulai, Shashidhar Hegde, Mahabala Maarla, T K Sudhir and others were present.
