Mangaluru, April 28, 2024: On Sunday morning, a collision occurred between two lorries in front of the Sri Dwara Hotel at Baikampady. One of the drivers suffered severe injuries as a result.

The lorry, loaded with fish and en route from Mangaluru to Malpe, also crashed into a granite shop, resulting in total damage to the vehicle. The impact of the accident also caused damage to the granite slabs stored at the shop.

The injured driver has been hospitalized for treatment. Fortunately, at the time of the incident, the usual presence of fisherwomen selling fish at the spot was absent, thus preventing a potential major disaster.
