Ullal, May 22, 2014: A  group of tourists, 25 families from four families, from Andhra Pradesh, who after visiting the famous Dargah yesterday May 21, were amusing themselves on the sea shore at Mogavaeerpatna Ullal.


They met with distress it is reported. An Australian engineer on the beach, working with the Ullal sea erosion project, jumped into water and  helped to save three of them;  Gowsunnisa (30) and Shakila Banu (34)  who are under treatment in a  hospital here, another victim Munni (20) was treated as an outpatient.

Sadly, Meherunnisa (60) and Mushthaq (14) from Kadapa district drowned and lost their lives. Body of Mushthaq is yet to be traced. The sea in this area is not too safe it has been warned and pre-monsoon it is dangerous, yet people don’t take care.
