Mangalore, Dec 31, 2013: The Kaniyoor Paryaya Mahotsava Samithi will hold the civic felicitation ceremony to honour His Holiness Shri Shri Shri Vidyavallabha Theertha Shreepadaru of Kaniyoor Mutt prior to succession to his 2nd Paryaya at Town Hall on Jan 1, Wednesday.

Speaking at the press meet, reception committee president Raghavendra Rao, said that Swamiji who has just completed his holy pilgrims to various religious places across the country will be taken in grand traditional procession from Sharavu Temple at 5 pm and reach Town Hall at 5.45 pm.

On Jan 2, Thursday, Swamiji will reach Udupi at 4 pm and taken in a grand procession from Jodukatte. Swamiji will make a ‘Pura Pravesha’ to Kaniyoor Mutt at 6.23 pm.

City Municiapl Council and other organization will honour  Swamiji at Sri Narasimha Mantapa, Car Street, Udupi from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm. Sri Vishwavallabhathirtha Swamiji of Paryaya Sri Sode Vadiraja Mutt will preside over the event. The cultural event will be organized from 4 pm to 6 pm.

The dignitaries along with Urban Development Minister Vinay Kumar Sorake, MP Jayaprakash Hegde, MLA Pramod Madhwaraj, Udupi DC Dr M T Reju, SP Dr Boringalaiah, Udupi Commissioner Srikanth Rao, Udupi CMC president Yuvaraj and vice president Amrutha Krishnamurthy will participate as the chief guest in the event. 

Swamiji will be ascending the Sarwajna Peetha on the auspicious day of 18th January, 2014.
