Karkala, May 04, 2024: The controversy over the gigantic Parashurama statue at the Parashurama Theme Park at Ummikal Hills in Bailoor near Karkala has raked up again with reports emerging that the remaining portion of the statue is being dismantled.

It may be recalled here that huge controversy had sparked off after following allegations that the Parashurama statue was not made of bronze as stated by the earlier BJP government but was made of fibre glass. Later as per the directions of the authorities the top portion of the statue was dismantled citing that it needs to be strengthened.

The State Government has also entrusted the investigation into the case to the CoD and the probe is underway.
