Kadaba, May 4, 2024: A newly married man died due to lightning strike near Subrahmanya on Friday evening. The deceased is Somasunder (34) of Parvathamukhi in Subrahmanya village.
On Friday evening there were strong winds accompanied by thunder and lightning in Subrahmanya region when Somasunder was trying to gather the areca kept for drying in front of the house. Soon after he was struck by lightning. Though he was rushed to the hospital, he had breathed his last by then. He was running a car washing business near Subrahmanya and was married just 15 days ago.
