Mangalore, April 22, 2014 : The DK District Committee of the Sunni Students Federation staged a protest in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office in the city on April 21, Monday to condemn the gunning down of Kabeer from Jokatte by the Anti-Naxal Force in Shringeri.
KM Aboobakker Siddique, State General Secretary of the SSF who spoke on the occasion, said the aggrieved family of Kabeer is still waiting for justice. The incident has brought in a sense of insecurity among members of the minority community, he said.
Abdul Hameed Bajpe, General Secretary of the all India unit of the SSF said there has been a spurt in moral policing incidents and the failure of the home minister was evident. The incident is testimony to the failure of the administrative machinery in the state, he said.
SSF District President Ismail Saadi, SYS leaders GM Kamil Sakafi, SYS District President Usman Saadi Pattori and several leaders were present.
