Mangalore, Feb 1, 2014 : Puttur Suresh Nayak, who has defied all odds and took up his disability as a challenge, has been chosen for the Suvarna Karnataka Seva Award.
The Award will be presented to him in recognition of his yeoman services for the cause of the rights of the differently abled persons in the society and also for his exceptional memory power.
The Award will be presented to him at a function to be held at Mysore Engineer’s Hall on February 2, Sunday.
Suresh has also kick-started an awareness campaign in October 2013 to help the differently abled people to join the main stream. His name also figures in the Limca Book of Records 2013 for recalling as many as 518 telephone numbers in just 72 minutes.
Suresh along with Satwik Nayak will be presenting a magic show named ‘Magic Down Syndrome at the Awards function.
