People must support Congress to develop DK as land of harmony: Padmaraj

Mangaluru, April 25, 2024: Dakshina Kannada constituency’s Congress candidate Padmaraj R who has alleged that the coastal district has lagged behind in development due to its communally sensitive area tag, said the Congress party must be supported to develop the district into a land of harmony.

Speaking to reporters at the Congress office on Wednesday, he said the Congress party has sought votes in the name of development. He said there has been a good response to the Congress across the district.

The Congress, he said has sensitized the masses on the politics of hatred resorted to by the BJP and its attempt to sow the seeds of differences between different castes and religion.

He also exuded confidence that the Congress would be able to break the shackles of defeat and emerge victorious in the district this time.

He further accused the BJP of resorting to its usual tactics of anti-propaganda after sensing defeat.

Party leaders Ivan D’Souza, Shashidhar Hegde, Praveenchandra Alva, Mahabala Marla and others were present.
