PU students face a serious text book problem

Mangalore, june 27, 2014: Following the introduction of syllabus on par with CBSE curriculum in PUC, first and second PUC students are facing serious shortage in textbooks. Colleges have re-opened, and let alone the students, even lecturers do not have textbooks to impart lessons.

Kannada and English language textbooks are nowhere available for second PUC students. Officials however claim that Kannada and English textbooks for first PUC just arrived in the market.

First PUC students are however finding it difficult to find Electronics, Computer Science, and Physics textbooks. But, first PUC Commerce students are the worst hit. None of their textbooks have arrived in the market till date. Also, only Economics textbook is currently available for Arts students.

While History and Geography textbooks are yet to be made available for second PUC Arts students; Commerce students are yet to receive Basic Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, and Accountancy textbooks. Second PUC Science students are yet to get Electronics textbook. Students are in distress and need information on the availability of books.
