Nitte DU organizes a One-Day Workshop for the Principals of PU Colleges of Udupi District

Mangaluru, Nov 29, 2023: The School Education Department (Pre-University Education), Govt. of Karnataka jointly with Nitte (Deemed to be University) and Dr. NSAM PU College, Nitte organized a one-day Workshop for the Principals of Pre-University Colleges of Udupi District on ’Breaking the Barriers of Present-Day Challenges Faced by the Institutions’ on 27th November 2023 at Sambhram Auditorium, NMAMIT, Nitte.

 

Sri.Maruthi, Dy.Director, Dept. of PUE, Udupi District inaugurated the workshop at 10:15 am. He congratulated the Nitte Group of Institutions for all its efforts in conducting such an interactive workshop. He  explained the roles and responsibilities of Heads of institutions in communicating the college information to the PU Education Department on a regular basis.

Guest of Honour Dr.Niranjan N Chiplunkar, Principal, NMAMIT welcomed all the attendees of the workshop to the Nitte Campus and stressed the importance of attending such workshops for enriching knowledge.

Dr. M R Seetharam, Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon, Vivekananda Memorial Hospital, Mysore and Prof. Shalini K Sharma, Practicing Mental Health Professional & Trainer, Manipal were the resource persons for the workshop.

Sri. Manjunath Bhat, Principal, Govt. Junior College, Hiriyadka, Udupi and Udaya Kumar, Mathematics Lecturer, Brahmavar PU College were felicitated during the event by the Udupi District Principal’s Association.

 Mr. Verghese Paul, President, Govt. PU Principal’s Association and Mr. Dinesh, President, Private & Aided PU Principal’s Association were also present on the stage.

Dr. Jnaneshwar Pai, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Humanities, NMAMIT welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Bhavani Shetty, Principal, Dr. NSAM PU College delivered the vote of thanks. Ms. Surakshitha, Lecturer, Dr. NSAM PU College was the master of ceremony.
