Nature’s wonder : New born calf gives milk!

Kundapur , June 2, 2014: Call it a wonder of nature or a miracle. But it is a reality. A new born calf which is just 18 days old, is giving almost over half a litre of milk everyday to its owner.

 

This ‘wonder’ incident has been reported from Hattikudru in Kundapur taluk in the residence of Muttu Poojarti, a dairy farmer. There’s another surprise, it’s not just a new born calf which gives milk, but also a cow which has not given birth to a calf and is neither pregnant.

The family says  it was about five days ago that it noticed the udders of the calf full. On pressing, milk trickled out and since then the family has been getting over half a litre of milk every day Local veterinarian Ganesh Aithal who tested the cattle has sent the milk samples for lab test.

A cow in the house which is not even pregnant has also started giving milk much to the surprise of the family as well as villages. The veterinarian who examined the cow ha said it was not pregnant.

The family members say this is for the first time that such wonder incidents are taking place in the past 14 years ever since they have been in this profession.
