Mystery shrouds suicide of newly wed woman

Karkala, May 21, 2014 : A young woman who was married hardly ten days ago has chosen to end her life by jumping into a well for reasons unknown on May 20, Tuesday. The tragic incident has been reported from Mullugadde, Shivapura where her parental home is located.
The deceased woman Lakshmi (20) had married a man hailing from Parkala near Manipal on May 11. Lakshmi who was in her husband’s house for nine days after marriage was sent back to her parental home after the traditional dinner at her husband’s house.
Her family members says she was lively as ever and fail to understand the reason behind her extreme step. Her parents say Lakshmi worked in a cashew factory before marriage and that the wedding was fixed with her due consent. Even her husband contends she was happy with him. Hebri police are investigating the case.
