He also criticized Moily for his statement of holding discussion with the experts related to the project. In such case, Moily must also reveal whether he has discussed with the people of coastal region or with whom he has discussed about the project.

In order to appease people of Chikkaballapur, Moily and the Government is moving a head to implement the project and cheat the people of Dakshina Kannada. Right from the beginning, the people of DK are masked with uncertainty and did not go through the project report. Even though we have been hearing about the report, nothing has been cleared.

Speaking on the protest to be held, Hegde said that various people from Dakshina Kannada District, including MLAs and leaders from the District irrespective of their political affiliations will participate in the protest. He even urged the environment organizations of the District to join for the protests to give wield impact on the Government.

MG Hegde said that people from Hassan, Sakleshpur and Chikkaballapur are also opposing the project since they know that the project will not benefit them in any way.

If the project do not have adversely affect to the District, then Moily must hold the press conference and make the report public.

Suresh Shetty, V R Puthran, Anitha Shivaraj, Shashikala, Dinesh Shetty and others were present.
