Mangalore: Speeding bus kills bike rider near Balmatta Circle

Mangalore, Jan 13, 2014 : A bike rider lost his life on the spot when he was fatally knocked down by a private service bus near Balmatta Circle on January 13, Monday morning.

The deceased is Gajananda Sridhar Bhat. According to eyewitnesses, the bus heading towards Vittal, collided against the bike, while trying to overtake.

The rider was proceeding towards Kankanady from Ambedkar Circle when the mishap took place. Traffic was disrupted on the route for some time owing to the mishap.

Kadri Traffic Police rushed to the spot of the accident.

It is HIGH Time, the Law enforcing Department should make it mandate to Every CITY BUS/Private Bus to instal SPEED GOVERNER. As the RASH Driving, Overtaking even in Single Roads should be Controlled. If they can’t enforece, then KSRTC should be given permit for city buse service.
