He added that this is the most precious of all the awards I have received so far.  Where ever we live, whatever we do, we represent our country. When we are away from our country, the institution which has given our education set us apart. It is those years of molding that make us stand tall among others.

"I came from a remote village called Perla in Kasargod district. I had applied for a seat in St Aloysius College and my first preference was commerce and second one was PCMB. But Fr Rasquinha said that he will not be able to accommodate me in the commerce stream. I agreed to take the second option PCMB. After three weeks of my college, Fr Rasquinha called me and said there is a seat in commerce and if you are willing to join, you can do it, and accordingly I got what I wanted". He further said that the institution has taught us discipline and simplicity together.

He also said, "It is a great honour to be recognized by the Alma mater. On the education front, education for all with improvements in quality of education and education-to-job linkages will be critical. Manpower for skill and occupational needs in the next twenty years will be high as the economy urbanizes, modernizes, and becomes more service-sector oriented.
