Man making obscene calls to women thrashed, handed over to police

 Moodbidri, July 13, 2014:   Public who trapped a man who was making obscene calls to women, thrashed him before handing him over to the police on July 12, Saturday.

 

The accused is Mohsin (42), a resident o the town. It is learnt, though a married man, he used to harass married women and young women by making obscene calls since the past one and a half years.

It is learnt, a woman who had parked her Scooty outside the post office, to get some work done in the office, on return found a chit with a mobile number pasted on her vehicle. She handed it over to the police who realised that they had received a complaint earlier  stating the caller from that number was harassing them.

They then cleverly asked the woman to telephone the number and made her ask the man come to Swaraj Maidan. Accordingly, when Mohsin arrived there the public trapped him and beat him up black and blue.

It has been alleged that he used to note down the numbers of women who used to come to mobile recharge shops and then make calls to them.
