Kundapur : Bus rolls into gorge after tyre blast ; 5 hurt

Kundapur, Mar 12, 2014 : Five persons were injured, one of them critically when a  private bus rolled into a roadside gorge after its tyre burst at Darimakki  near Byndoor   on March 11, Tuesday. The bus was  on way to Balamballi from Kundapur.

The driver of the  bus Taranath sustained critical injuries in the mishap. It has been learnt that the front tyre of the  bus  exploded and soon the driver lost control over the vehicle which  landed in a nearby gorge.

The driver has been admitted to a private hospital in Manipal while the rest  are  being treated at a private hospital in Kundapur.

Byndoor  police have registered a case.
