Kasargod man arrested with fake passport at Mangalore airport

Mangalore, Dec 31, 2013: A person from Bekal in Kasargod district has been arrested by immigration officials at the Mangalore International Airport on the charges of possessing a forged passport.
The arrested man is Abdul Rahiman (52). He had arrived by an Air India Express flight from Dubai which landed in Mangalore at around 5.30 on December 29, Sunday evening. It is learnt his passport had fake stamps of immigration offices in Dubai and Mumbai.
The accused had once earlier been booked by the Kerala cops in October 2011. His original passport had been seized then. However, once out on bail, he used fake passport to go to Dubai.
A case has been registered against him in Bajpe police station. Meanwhile even the Kerala cops are likely to seek his custody in connection with the earlier case.
