Janardhana Poojari to file nomination on March 26: Ramanatha Rai

Mangalore, March 23, 2014: District in-charge Minister and State Minister for Forest and Ecology B Ramanatha Rai has informed that the party’s candidate for Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha constituency B Janardhana Poojari will be filing his nomination on March 26.

Speaking to reporters at the District Congress Office, Rai showered praises on Poojari and the good works he has done over the years.

He however evaded a reply when asked as to why the Congress had chosen the last date to file nominations.

He exuded confidence that the party would win over 20 seats in the Lok Sabha elections.

Rai further informed that the Election Campaign office of the Congress will be inaugurated on March 24 at 9.30 am by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Oscar Fernandes at Exotica Building at Balmatta.

District Congress Interim President Kodijal Ibrahim, Party leaders Ivan D’Souza, Kallige Taranath Shetty and others were present.
