Mangalore, Mar 12, 2014 : A total of 34,185 students in Dakshina Kannada district and 15,680 students in Udupi district are appearing for the II PUC examinations which begin from March 12, Wednesday. The examinations will be held up to March 27.

There are a total of 49 examination centres in the district. Of the total students appearing this time in Dakshina Kannada, 30,617 are freshers, 1200 repeaters and 2468 private students.
Already the administration has issued instructions to Xerox shops in the 400 meters radius of exam centres to close during the examination days.
Vigilance squads have also been formed to ensure smooth conduct of the exams.
