Govanithashraya Trust to hold ’Go Matha Ratha Yatre’ on Jan 14

Mangalore, Jan 11, 2014: Dr. P. Ananthakrishna Bhat, secretary of Govanithashraya Trust said that the trust will hold a procession ’Go Matha Ratha Yatre’ to create awareness on protection of holy cow from Sharavu temple on January 14, Tuesday.
Speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on Jan 11, Saturday, he said that our ancestors and ancient sages considered cow has divine and worshipped it, but these days the number of cow slaughter are on rise. Hence there is necessary to create awareness among young generation on its uses and innocence.
Speaking on the yatra, he said that the procession will commence from Sharavu temple at 8.30 am and move towards Car Street via New Chitra, Alake, Kudroli, Mannagudde and conclude at Urva Marigudi temple.
Manohar Tulajaram, Shridhar Bhat and Dinesh Pai were present among others.
