Gold concealed in wrist watch seized at Mangalore airport

Mangalore, Feb 20, 2014 : Customs officials at the Mangalore International Airport, in a latest gold haul have apprehended a passenger from Kasargod who was smuggling gold inside a watch on February 19, Wednesday.
The passenger identified as Mohammad Mustafa Eriyappadi Pallinadukukkal had arrived by an Air India Express flight from Dubai at 7.30 am. The gold in a circular piece with silver paint coating was found in the watch while one kg gold bar was found in his baggage.
The watch looked absolutely normal not even giving a hint that gold was concealed inside it with great precision.
The seized gold weighed 1116.400 gms and valued at Rs 34,58,512.
He has been produced before the magistrate.
