Gang of assailants hack youth to death at Urva

Mangalore, May 22, 2014: In a shocking broad daylight murder, a young man was hacked to death by a gang of assailants  near Kudru Kallurti Daivasthana at Urva on May 22, Thursday afternoon. At the outset, a previous enmity is suspected to be the cause of the brutal killing.

The deceased youth is   Sanjay alias Varun, son of one Jagadish alias Talavar Jagga.  It is learnt, Sanjay who was working for a private firm in Moodbidri was asked by his father to come to Mangalore on Thursday as it was his birthday.

 

 

Sources say Sanjay who had accordingly come home on Thursday morning, had left home in the afternoon, never to return. His family soon received a call stating he was murdered.

The Urva police who have registered a case have launched a manhunt for the killers. It is said one of the assailants was Ashrith, the son of a former corporator. Sources said the assailants chased Sanjay and hacked him to death.
