His office assistant Tara, Deviprasad and elder brother Subrahmanya Sharma also said to be involved in the case are already in custody. They were detained when Keshava Bhat had gone underground.
Keshava Bhat has been charged of using fake stamp papers and fake rubber stamps to prepare documents. It is yet to be known as to how much loss he has incurred to the state exchequer by using fake stamp papers.
Hearing the case on the basis of a petition filed by G Timmaiah on April 29, Tuesday, the court said a CID probe should be ordered. Meanwhile, the court has dismissed a petition filed by Sunil Kumar, the then sub-inspector of Subrahmanya police station who was suspended for releasing Keshava Bhat once earlier on bail soon after his arrest.
