The delegation pledged its support to the college teaching faculty and management board which was subject to  religious hatred and condemned the discriminatory attitude of MLAs Vedavyas Kamath and Bharath Shetty.

The delegation said that the teacher has been accused on the basis of a voice recording by a woman. Investigation must be done to find out whether the woman’s children are studying in the school. The MLA should be tried to settle the issue through talks but instead had instigated the protest. Even the DDPI has acted to the tunes of the MLA, the delegation opined.

The delegation has decided to appeal to the Speaker to take action against  the MLAs.

DYFI State President Muneer Katipalla, social activists M G Hegde, Manjula Nayak, advocates Yashwanth Maroli, Dinesh Hegde Ulepady, Congress leader P V Mohan, former mayor K Ashraf, CPM leader Sunil Kumar Bajal, Eric Lobo, Anil Lobo, Yogish Nayak of various organisations and others were part of the delegation.
