He also  compared BJP to a pyramid, in which party workers are the base and he was the one who is appointed to break the pot.

Recalling his association with the BJP, DVS said it was in 1967  that he joined the party as an ordinary worker who was entrusted with the task of pasting wall posters. I never ever imagined then that I will reach to this extent, DVS said  and attributed  his success to the efforts of party workers.

The upcoming Assembly elections is the biggest challenge which the BJP was facing, the former CM opined.

The  State BJP, though has not  reached the expectation of the people in first three years,  it has given fair governance  in the next two years when it has ensured fair and corruption-free governance, DVS said.

The introduction of Sakala scheme in Karnataka has been a milestone achievement, DVS said and added  the BJP was proud of the fact that the scheme was emulated by other state governments too.

“Do not consider me as a leader but as a sincere party worker who will work for the party along with others,” DVS said.

MP Nalin Kumar Kateel also spoke on the occasion.

BJP leaders like Padmanabha Kottary, Mallika Prasad, Krishna J Palemar, MLC Monappa Bhandary, Deputy Speaker N Yogish Bhat, G K Sulochana Bhat and Prathap Simha Nayak were present on the dais.
