DHRC Manager Arrested in Nursing job scam

Mangalore, May 31, 2014: Pradeep Nair (40)  working as the manager at DHRC, the prime accused in a major scam wherein more than 50 nurses where allegedly cheated with fake job promises in Singapore. Barke Police in  Mangalore were successful in  arresting the Kerala based person while attempting to flee to Kerala, it has been stated. lakhs of rupee were illegally collected from the victims it is said.

DHRC Tours and Travels, operating from a building at Ballal Bagh here, had published an advertisement in a Kerala newspaper that a hospital in Singapore was in need of nurses. Following this, many candidates had submitted applications.

At the interview for the candidates,  DHRC asked them to pay a sum of Rs 3 lac in three installments, over 50 candidates paid Rr 2 lakh. But, no travel documents were received by candidates.  DHRC agency reportedly even refused to pay back the money.A complaint in this regard in Barke police station b the victims.

 The police said the money paid was not in the possession of Pradeep. It is suspected that he has handed over the money to others accused in the case. The other accused in the case are, proprietor of DHRC Mohammad Ali, staff Augustine, Afzal and Prameela who are said to be absconding the police is investigating all angles and justice is over due.
