Corporation Bank celebrates 109th Foundation Day

Mangalore, Ma 13, 2013:  The 109th Foundation Day celebrations of Corporation Bank were inaugurated  by S.R. Bansal, Chairman and Managing Director of the Bank at a ceremony held at Dr TMA Pai International Convention Centre in the city on March 12, Wednesday. The chairman and other dignitaries also paid floral tributes to the portrait of the Founder.

 

 

In his inaugural address, Bansal said the Bank founded by a great visionary named Khan Bahaddur Haji Abdulla Haji Kasim Saheb Bahaddur has been  marching ahead on the path of progress. It has crossed a business of Rs 3 lakhs crores, he said adding the Bank was committed to quality customer service and incorporation of modern technology thereby winning the confidence of its customers. He said the Bank was celebrating its 109th Foundation Day as Customers Day.

New products of Corporation Bank namely Corp Global Card (Forex Travel Card) to benefit travellers and e-pass books helping   customers  track their  bank transactions on mobile phones, were launched on the occasion by the Bank Chairman in the presence of Executive Directors Amarlal Daultani and BK Srivastava.

The 150th issue of the Bank journal ‘Kshema’ was also released on the occasion.

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, the bank distributed financial aid to service organisations like Mangala Seva Samithi Trust, Kuttarpadavu, White Doves, Roman and Catherine Blind School, Bejai and St Agnes Special School.

As part of cultural programmes there was a Sitar, flute and Table jugalbandi by renowned maestros Ustad Rafiq Khan, Ronu Majumdar and Fazal Qureshi.  Award winning play ‘Promotion’ was presented on the occasion by Rajendra Karanth and troupe.

To mark its 109th Foundation Day, the bank also opened 109 new branches and 109 ATMs across the nation.
