Mangaluru, April 13, 2024: Congress leaders and workers staged a protest near the Clock Tower in the city on April 13, Saturday to oppose the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Mangaluru. They also shouted “Go Back Modi” slogans.

The Congress is opposing the visit of Modi in the backdrop of the Centre’s alleged reduction of tax share of the state and pending drought relief fund. They alleged that the Prime Minister who did not visit the state in difficult times was now visiting for the sake of politics and not for the welfare of the state.

Former MLC Ivan D’Souza, DCC Chief Harish Kumar, MLC Manjunath Bhandari, Sabitha Misquith and other party leaders were present.
