Child killed, 17 injured as bus overturns at Perne

Bantwal, Jun 9, 2014 :As per early reports a private bus - ’Durgamba’ Bangalore to Kundapur - over turned at 4 am June 9 morning at Perne, not far from Mangalore. A child is reported dead and at least 17 injured. The child is said to be 18 months old from Hejamady.

The over night monsoon rain had made the roads water logged and critical, the driver is said to have lost control, at a high speed.

The identities are not yet known, full details are expected, among the seriously injured, four have been admitted to hospital in Puttur and 13 in Mangalore.
