CT Ravi’s consolation letter to victorious Congress candidate!

 Belthangady, Mar 25, 2013  :  Believe it or not! The DK district Minister and State Minister for Higher education, has sent a consolation letter to the victorious Congress members in ULB polls in Belthangady stating “ Do not worry, we are with you.”

This was what happened. The District Minister had sent letters felicitating the victorious BJP members in the Town Panchayat elections and consolation letters to the defeated BJP candidates. But,  the consolation letter  erroneously had the address  of a victorious Congress members  instead of the defeated BJP candidate.

One such letter reached D Jagadish, the Congress candidate who won from Ward 2 in Belthangady. The BJP candidate here had lost his deposit. But the letter from CT Ravi’s office had the address of the Congress candidate.

Initially, even Jagadish mistook it to be a congratulation letter from the minister and was  appreciative of the kind gesture of the minister who he thought had chosen to congratulate the victorious members irrespective of party lines. But, as he went through the letter, he realized that the letter had reached him by mistake  as the letter had ended saying “Even I am by your side at a time when you are sad over your defeat.”

It is believed that a mix-up of addresses had led to all this.
