Udupi, May 17, 2014 : Shobha Karandlaje who has registered an impressive win against B Jayaprakash Hegde of the Congress has said that the people have given a befitting reply to the UPA government which ruled the nation for ten years.
Addressing a public meet organised in the town on May 16, Friday to congratulate her on her win, Shobha said the results have revealed that the people want the Gujarat model of development to be implemented in Karnataka.
She also promised to live up to the expectations of the people.
She said the clear mandate given to the BJP has revealed that the people of the nation want the nation to be led by a capable leader.
BJP leaders including Lalaji Mendon. Raghupathi Bhat, former MLAs Mattar Ratnaker Hegde, Yashpal Suvarna and others were present.
