poojary 1 1Poojary was responding to allegations from the BJP that he had not mentioned his wife’s name in the affidavit. He also stated that in the column where the wife’s income has to be mentioned he had written agriculture which is not taxable. He said the allegations against him revealed the ignorance of the BJP leaders.

He advised the BJP not to hurl allegations without proper knowledge of the law and merely for the sake of publicity. “I have not mentioned my spouse name in the income column as agriculture is not taxable, but have mentioned her name (Malathi) in other columns,” Poojary said.

Making it clear that he had never sought personal information about Modi’s wife, the Congress leader said he only wanted to know why  Modi had  not given information about his wife’s income though she was paying income tax. On his part, Poojary said he lived with his wife and have been  looking after her.

Moidin Bava, MLA, Neelayya M Agari, RK Prithviraj, Vijaynath Vittal Shetty and other party leaders were present.
