Here it is worth mentioning that Rai has  said he would resign if anyone provided concrete evidence to prove that Nalin was active in Parliament.

At a press meet on March 30, Sunday, District BJP President Pratap Simha Nayak who released the video clippings  charged Rai of  lying and misleading the people about Nalin.

Taking on Rai  for stating that it was not a big achievement on the part of Nalin to  spend his MP fund, Nayak openly challenged Rai to  furnish details of  the manner in which the Congress candidate Janardhana Poojari spent his MP funds when he was in office.

Nalin has 74 per cent attendance in parliament and has raised 24 starred questions which were replied orally. He has also raised  problems of the district in the Parliament, Nayak said.

Nayak also played a video CD showing  clippings of Nalin’s participation in Lok Sabha proceedings and raising questions on inclusion of Tulu in 8th Schedule of Constitution, on Awas Yojana and sea erosion problem on March 23, 2011, August 29, 2011 and February 27,2013 respectively.

Capt. Ganesh Karnik, MLC, Nagaraj Shetty, former minister, Ravishanker Mijar and others were present.
