Some of the points to note :

* All Steps should be taken to prevent the collection of water in discarded collection utilities e.g: tyres, coconut shells, stagnant pools, and other items. Protect from mosquito bite with all means,  fully cover the  body, use mosquito repellent creams and nets.

* Water in water tanks, drums and buckets should be cleared and changed regularly and the water storage units should be covered to prevent the breeding of mosquitoes. Waste engine oil should be sprinkled on the stagnant water near the surroundings of the hotels.

*The surroundings of the houses should be clean, every measure should be taken to check the breeding of mosquitoes. Hotel owners should compulsorily supply boiled water to their customers. They should provide mosquito nets to their workers and to the people staying in lodges. Careful watch should be maintained on prevention.

* Citizens should make use of medical facilities to check up and test the blood if they get fever frequently. Dumping of garbage beside the road should be strictly avoided, and way should be mad for easy flow of water. The commissioner has warned of initiating legal action against the violators under Karnataka Municipalities Act.

Certainly prevention is better than cure.
