“Modi is a big liar”- CM lashes out at BJP PM candidate

Udupi, April 14, 2014 : Modi is a big liar and a puppet of RSS. Gujarat has been developed merely in words and not in reality,” alleged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

 

 

 

Addressing a huge  meeting of Congress workers at Malpe beach on April 13, Sunday,  he said the Congress has provided 1.4 crore BPL cards in the state  including 1.30 lakh  cards in Udupi district by spending Rs 4,400 crores annually. It is the Congress which  empowered the fishermen of the coastal belt through various schemes, he contended and urged people to vote for  the party candidate Jayaprakash Hegde.

 He lashed out at the BJP for its several allegations  including the allegation that the law and   order situation in the state has deteriorated. The law and order situation is good, the CM said adding otherwise the Election Commission would not have decided to go for a single phase election in the state.

The misrule, corruption and favouritism of the BJP in the state had led to the defeat of the party in the assembly elections,  the CM said adding the BJP had no moral right to criticise the  Congress.

Commenting on the so called achievements of Gujarat CM Narendra Modi, Siddaramaiah said acquisition of farmers’ lands and distributing the same to capitalists was the real achievement of Modi.

Vinaykumar Sorake, Udupi District Minister. Jayaprakash Hegde, Udupi-Chikmagalur candidate,  Union Minister Oscar Fernandes also spoke on the occasion.

State Minister Abhayachandra Jain, MLC Pratapchandra Shetty, Udupi MLA Pramod Madhwaraj,  Udupi CMC President Yuvaraj P, Actors Mukhyamantri Chandru, Bhavya and others were present.
