Rahul Gandhi visits Balakote near LoC, meets people affected by Pak shelling

Jammu, Aug 26, 2015: Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday began a three-day visit of Jammu and Kashmir by meeting people affected by Pakistani shelling from across the border.
Rahul flew to Balakote in Poonch after arriving in Jammu this morning.
He met and interacted with people living close to the Line of Control (LoC) which has witnessed increased shelling by Pakistani troops.
Six people were killed in Balakote and dozens others were injured when Pakistani troops fired from across the LoC on August 15.
After returning from Poonch, Gandhi will meet the representatives of different sections of society besides addressing a panchayat conference of the party for Jammu province, PTI reported.
Gandhi will also visit Kashmir and Ladakh regions during his three-day visit.
