Man forces himself inside woman’s house, ties her up, rapes her for 6 hours

Delhi, Jun 04, 2018 : A month after being released on bail, a 38-year-old man, who is involved in at-least two dozen cases of molestation, stalking, snatching and robbery, has now been booked by the police for raping a woman.

 

Sandeep Chauhan, a taekwondo teacher, was arrested on Friday for allegedly trespassing into a woman’s house, raping her and trying to kill her on May 29.

Police booked Sandeep under 376 (rape), 307 (attempt to murder), 392 (robbery), 328 (poisoning), 342 (wrongful confinement) and 506 (threatening) of Indian Penal Code after a 27-year-old woman lodged a complaint.


According to victim, on May 29, when she returned from her office, the accused allegedly grabbed her from behind, forced himself inside the house and then locked the door. Later, the accused tied the girl’s hands and legs, forced her to drink liquor, raped her and tried to strangle her before leaving at 4 am with victim’s phone, after 6 hours of horror.

Next day, the victim reached Vasant Kunj (north) police station and narrated the entire incident. After getting the physical description of the suspects, police showed her photograph of Chauhan which the victim confirmed. Sandeep was arrested by the police.

Last year, Chauhan was arrested for allegedly molesting a woman and was released on bail in March. Again on April 15, he was arrested for allegedly masturbating in front of two women. He was sent to 14-day judicial custody. Later, Chauhan was released on bail.

According to the police records, Chauhan has over two dozen cases registered against him which includes molestation, stalking, snatching and robbery.
