Lucknow Metro develops technical glith on first day of public launch

Lucknow, Sep 06, 2017: The much-awaited Lucknow Metro rail, which was opened for public on Wednesday, developed some major fault and has resulted in delaying of services.
The second Metro train got stuck at the Mawaiya’s special span near Alambagh station because of a technical glitch.
The passengers stuck inside the metro started panicking as the AC and the lights went off.
The Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) officials have reached the spot and are trying to fix the problem.
The rest of the trains are running smoothly on the other parallel track.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the first service of Lucknow Metro on Tuesday at the Transport Nagar railway station.
The first trial run of Lucknow Metro was held on December 1, 2016 and the then Samajwadi Party (SP) government had awarded the pilot duo with the prestigious Rani Laxmi Bai award.
