Delhi airport on alert as Khalistani group threatens it won’t let 2 Air India flights reach London

New Delhi, Nov 04, 2020:    Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport has been put on aleart following terror threats from a Khalistani group that has warned that it won’t allow two Air India flights to reach London tomorrow.

According to the Delhi Police, the threat has been issued by a group called the Sikhs for Justice.

Speaking to India Today TV about the matter, DCP Airport, Rajiv Ranjan said, "Terrorist Gurupatwant Singh Pannu, who is associated with the Sikhs for Justice, has made threat calls to several people and said that on November 5, the group won’t let two Air India planes to land in London."

Acting on the information, the Delhi Police, along with the airport authorities, Air India and the CISF which guards the airport, have been put on alert.

The November 5 threat from the Khalistani group coincides with the 36th anniversary of the1984 anti-Sikh riots in New Delhi.
