Class 6 student dies under mysterious circumstances in Tamil Nadu school

Tamil Nadu, July 16, 2016: A class 6 student died under mysterious circumstances in Amaravathinagar in Tirupur district of Tamil Nadu yesterday.
VP Sidharth, a student of Sainik school and a resident of Palani, Dindigaul district, died after falling ill in the school campus.
At least 25 students, including Sidharth, were rushed to a government hospital in Udumalaipet after students complained of fever and uneasiness. However, Sidharth was declared dead upon arrival.
While food poisoning is being considered as a possible explanation, the exact cause of death can only be determined after an autopsy is conducted.
The remaining students are being treated at the hospital. Fearing outrage against the incident, the school decided to remain close on Saturday.
