Gujarat, Oct 06: The Border Security Force (BSF) on Wednesday intercepted another Pakistani boat with nine people on board near Sir Creek in Gujarat’s Kutch district. This is the third Pakistani boat seized within a week.

The Pakistani boat was forced to stop when a patrol party of Bhuj Battalion noticed it in Indian waters. The Pakistani nationals were taken into custody near G-43 pillar and are currently being interrogated.

"The nine Pakistani nationals apprehended from the boat are being questioned. Apart from fishing equipment, nothing objectionable was recovered," BSF sources in Gujarat told the Indian Express.

An abandoned Pakistani boat was seized on Tuesday by the BSF from Tota Guru post (Dera Baba Nanak post) on Ravi River in Punjab.

Earlier, intelligence agencies had warned Indian Coast Guard (ICG) about two Pakistani boats that left the Karachi port and were on their way to either Gujarat or Maharashtra. They provided the location of the boats and said that one of the boats was holed up on Pakistani waters due to a technical snag.

Coast Guard Ship Samudra Pavak had seized another Pakistani boat with nine crew members on board off the coast of Gujarat on October 2. The crew members, along with the boat, were escorted to Porbandar for further investigation.
