Wilson Kayyar bags Emirates Konkans Kasargod Achievers Award

Dubai, Aug 19, 2013: Emirates Konkans Kasargod, UAE has chosen renowned artist Wilson Kayyar for the first Emirates Konkans Kasargod Deanery Achievers Award -2013.Kayyar has been chosen for his significant contributions in the field of art.
The announcement was made at the meeting of the organization held at Dubai Highland Gardens Hotel recently. The Award carries a cash prize of Rs 20,000, a certificate and a memento.
The award will be presented on the occasion of the annual celebrations of the organization in Kasargod in the month of December.
Wilson Jesupriya D’Souza (31), popularly known as Wilson Kayyar is from Kayyar in Kasargod.
He learnt painting from Mahalasa College of Visual Art, Mangalore.
His first solo exhibition ‘Rendezvous with Feminine” was widely appreciated and was inaugurated by eminent film director and lyricist Gulzar.
His art exhibitions have been held in Bangalore, Dharmasthala, Mumbai, Hyderabad and other places.
