Muscat, Feb 20, 2012 : Music lovers can look forward to one of the biggest musical extravaganzas with NPA Events all set to organise ‘Sunidhi Chauhan Live in Concert ‘ on March 30 at the City Amphitheatre, Qurum at 7 pm.

Sunidhi Chauhan, one of the top female playback singers from India, nick named as the ‘Indian Glam Diva’ is known for her famous songs such as Ruki Ruki from the movie Mast, Sheila Ki Jawani (Tees Maar Khan), Desi Girl  (Doastana), Mehboob Mere (Fiza), Dhoom Machale (Dhoom), Kaisi Paheli (Parineeta), Beedi Jalaayile (Omkara), Aaja Nachle (Aaja Nachle), Sajnaji Vari Vari (Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd.), Dance Pe Chance (Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi), Udi (Guzaarish), Tee Amo (Dam Maro Dam), among others.
 
Sunidhi Chauhan was nominated for twelve Filmfare Awards, winning it on three occasions, including an award for a song ’Beedi Jalaayile’ from the film Omkara.

She has also won two Star Screen Awards, two IIFA Awards and one Zee Cine Award, GIMA awards any many more. Sunidhi Chauhan was a judge in the top Indian Television programme Indian Idol season 5 and for the forthcoming season as well. 
 
Sunidhi Chauhan began to sing at the age of four and was discovered by a TV anchor. She won recognition through a televised singing contest, Meri Awaz Suno, which she won, and made her entrance into playback singing with the Hindi film Shastra. Her breakthrough was Ram Gopal Varma’s film - Mast, in which she sang the hit song, Ruki Ruki Si Zindagi.
 
Chauhan has collaborated with other leading Indian singers such as Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan, Shaan and is known for her popular pairing with Sukhwinder Singh in films such as Omkara and Aaja Nachle. She is most often paired with singer Sonu Nigam and with the successful female playback singer Shreya Ghoshal.
 
She has also collaborated with Spanish-born singer Enrique Iglesias on a song titled  "Heartbeat (India Mix)" which was included in Iglesias’ album Euphoria (Special Indian Edition), becoming the first Indian female singer to do an international collaboration.
 
Sunidhi Chauhan has worked with prominent lyricists including Gulzar, the late Anand Bakshi and Javed Akhtar and music directors A R Rahman, Himesh Reshammiya, Anu Malik, Jatin Lalit, Nadeem-Shravan and others.
 
Chauhan is one of the few female singers of the present generation who have lent their voice for nearly every leading actress in the Bollywood film industry, including Madhuri Dixit, Kajol, Aishwarya Rai, Preity Zinta, Rani Mukherjee, Kareena Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Priyanka Chopra, Konkana Sen Sharma, Rekha and more.
 
She has also performed with leading Bollywood film stars on stage and has also done her own solo shows all over the world.
 
The Nightingale of India Lata Mangeshkar has called Sunidhi Chauhan "one of the finest young singers."
