Karnataka Sangha to celebrate Rajyothsava grandly

AbuDhabi, Sep 16, 2011 : Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha will organize a number of programmes as part of its Karnataka Rajyotsava Celebrations 2011, which will be held on Nov 4 Friday at India Social and Cultural Centre, Abu Dhabi.

abu Sarvottam Shetty, the president of the Sangha, said in a press release that D. V. Sadananda Gowda, the chief minister of Karnataka, will be chief guest. Dr. B. R. Shetty will preside over the event while M. K. Lokesh, the Indian ambassador to the UAE, will be the guest of honor.

The organization is planning to hold a number of competitions such as skit, group songs, dance, as well as a UAE-level folk dance contest. All Karnataka-born people staying in the UAE are warmly invited to participate, and those interested are required to register on or before Oct 1, 2011.

The association will also be organizing a one-day picnic on Dec 16, Friday.
